Bishop Hawkins’ life-changing truths of God’s Word is leading thousands to salvation through his dynamic teaching, seminars, writings, videos, audio and television ministries.

In its present location in Stone Mountain for only 8 years, God has multiplied Voices of Faith from 75 to more than 11,000 members, making it one of the fastest-growing churches in the Georgia Baptist Convention.

In 2002, Bishop Hawkins was recognized for his leadership skills by world-renowned leader Bishop Eddie L. Long, Senior Pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, metro-Atlanta’s largest congregation.  In May 2002, Bishop Long appointed Bishop Hawkins as one of his 22 “Flying Eagles” from the Father’s House, a mentoring program he launched to develop growing ministries across the country. In November 2002, Bishop Hawkins launched the “Faith to Faith Pastors and Leadership Conference” referred to today as the “Marketing Your Church for Growth Conference” to teach pastors and their leaders how to strategically grow a great church for the kingdom.  In 2003 he was named “Man of the Year” by the Ross News Group. On May 5, 2004 Bishop Hawkins was awarded the keys to the city of Baker in Louisiana.  In the June 2005 edition of the Church Report Magazine, Bishop Hawkins was named as one of the leaders to watch in 2005. He is a member of the DeKalb Chapter 100 Black Men of America and author of seven top selling life changing books: Marketing Your Church for Growth, Fighting for Your Destiny, Marketing for Next Level Ministry, Eight Steps to Prosperity, God’s Best For Your Life, What Every Pastor Should Know and The Faith Journal.  In 2005 God elevated him to the office of Bishop and on November 9, 2005 he was consecrated by Bishop Eddie L. Long.  In addition to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, his spiritual father in the ministry is Bishop I. V. Hilliard of New Light Christian Center Church in Houston, TX.

Bishop Hawkins received his license to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in April 1992 from Hopewell Baptist Church in Norcross, Georgia under the leadership of Dr. William L. Sheals.  Bishop Hawkins founded Voices of Faith on August 21, 1994.

He holds a Master’s of Arts in Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia, a Master’s degree in financial management from National University in San Diego, California, and a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Before entering the ministry full time, Bishop Hawkins worked as a financial analyst for several Fortune 500 companies including General Dynamics, Scientific-Atlanta, Lockheed Martin, Delta Airlines and Delta Technology.

He is the seventh of 10 children, seven boys and three girls, born to Aaron Hawkins, Sr. and Mary Louise Robertson.  Both of his parents reside in Louisiana.
